O’Reilly = Jerk?

Okay, so I don’t live in the US. Therefore I have very little access to the various media happenings that go on, apart from the internet and Mr. Jon Stewart. Fine.

I recently saw Stewart being interviewed by Bill O’Reilly somewhere online and, having never encountered this ‘Bill’ before, came to the almost immediate decision that I do not like this guy one bit. Not just because he was picking on one of my favourite TV hosts but also because the guy just acted like a typical sensationalizing whackjob.

So, some weeks later I am surfing the net and I come across another “O’Reilly Moment” on www.MediaMatters.com……

“On the July 11 edition of Fox News’ The O’Reilly Factor, host Bill O’Reilly called the San Diego Padres’ decision to host a gay pride night and a children’s hat giveaway promotion during the same July 8 baseball game “insensitive,” “dumb,” “almost unbelievable,” and a “mistake.” He called it “insane” to “cluster” gay men and lesbians during a “hat giveaway for any kid under 12.”

WTF???

Maybe someone from the U.S. can help me here….is it just me? Or is this guy really the jerk I think he is?

So I just saw BOR interviewing Michael Moore there and *drumroll*…….it’s official!!!!!
